Dutch toast
Ingredients:
3 eggs
2.5 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
8 loafs of (white)bread
80 grammes of butter
Apple-sauce
Preparation:
1. Stir the eggs with the milk, sugar and half the cinnamon until it's properly mixed.
2. Drench your loafs in the mixture and let it drip.
3. Bake your loafs in hot butter until both sides are brown.
4. Serve with some apple-sauce and cinnamon.
This is the sweet, Dutch version of 'French toast', which will typically have salt and pepper instead.
